The 2018 grape harvest in Beaujolais

The quality of the grapes along with their nice volume has very much pleased Beaujolais winegrowers. “It’s like velvet. The wines will extract their color and structure through long maceration. They’re round and silky, but also thick and concentrated. The tannins are fine and elegant.”


The 2018 vintage will be tasted in 3 stages :

November 2018: Beaujolais Nouveaux
Spring 2019: High-character Beaujolais
After the 10, 12, 18, or 24-month winemaking process: Exceptional Beaujolais
